Bobrisky Was Given 'Appropriate' Cell - Nigerian Correctional Service Gives Update On Investigations

Controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, otherwise known as Bobrisky, has reportedly been rushed to an undisclosed hospital after his body temperature spiked, necessitating medical treatment.

Sources within the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) confirmed this development to The Nation on Wednesday.

Naija News understands that the fate of Bobrisky, remains uncertain following his arrest by the NIS at the Seme Border on Monday.

According to the NIS Public Relations Officer, Deputy Controller Kenneth Udo, Bobrisky was apprehended as a “person of interest” and has since been undergoing interrogation.

Since the arrest, there has been no official confirmation on whether Bobrisky will be charged in court or released once his health stabilizes.

In a related development, a Federal Government panel tasked with investigating claims that Bobrisky did not serve his full six-month prison term recently submitted its report to the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

The panel, led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, found no evidence to support the allegations.

However, the panel confirmed that Bobrisky received certain privileges during his prison stay.

Bobrisky’s current legal troubles stem from his arrest by NIS officials while allegedly attempting to flee the country.

He remains in the custody of the Immigration Service, with no clear decision yet on his future.
