The Nigerian Tennis Federation (NTF) has confirmed that the 37th edition of the Dala Hard Court Tennis Championships comes up November 15th to 23rd, 2024.
The event will hold at the Kano Tennis Club, in Kano metropolis . This was announced by the Director of the tournament Dr Yusuf Datti while briefing sports correspondents on the preparations of the tournament.
The Tournament Director, Dr. Yusuf Datti said that the preliminaries will hold from Nov 15th to 17th November, 2024 with the main draw commencing on Novovember 18.
Dr. Yusuf said this year budget will be higher than previous years due to inflation.
He said they sought for the advice of the Nigerian Tennis Federation (NTF) to invite the top 20 men and 10 ladies ranked players into the main draw of the Tennis Championships.
According to him no fewer than 150 to 200 players from home and abroad are expected to participate in the 37 tournament.
The tournament director said that Dala Hard Court was the only tennis competition that it’s organizing committee was set to provide accommodation and feeding to both officials and players.
The Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf is expected to be the special guest of Honour at the final nd closing ceremony of the championship.
