The final state calls in the US presidential election have placed President-elect Donald Trump at 301 electoral votes, surpassing the 270 required for victory, while Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris trails with 226, according to US media reports.
On Friday, Nevada, a key swing state that had supported Joe Biden in 2020, was declared for Trump, adding six electoral votes to his tally. This latest projection solidified Trump’s hold on multiple battleground states, marking a significant political shift.
Trump secured wins in over half of the 50 states, including crucial battlegrounds Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, which had all previously cast their votes for the Democratic candidate in the last election.
The projections, compiled from major US networks including CNN, Fox News, MSNBC/NBC News, ABC, and CBS, underscore Trump’s successful reclaiming of swing states that were pivotal in determining the election outcome.
At present, Arizona remains the last state where a final call has not been unanimously made by all major media outlets.
