The polling unit for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, in Idinrio community, Esan South East Local Government Area, remains eerily quiet as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have not yet arrived.

As of the morning hours of the election day, Channels TV reported that there were no visible signs of INEC personnel or any political party representatives at the polling unit, leading to a scene reminiscent of a graveyard.

The lack of activity has raised concerns among local voters, who expected a bustling atmosphere as they prepared to cast their ballots.

Voting was scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., but the absence of election officials has left the residents in a state of confusion and uncertainty. Many potential voters are left waiting, unsure if the election process will commence as planned.
