Enugu Rangers are considering the addition of former Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa to their squad after the 31-year-old expressed interest in returning to the NPFL.

Musa’s inquiry on social media has generated excitement among fans and clubs in the NPFL, with Enugu Rangers and their general manager, Amobi Ezeaku, expressing their interest in signing the experienced player.

Abia Warriors Coach Fire Up His Team

Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amakpakabo is determined to rally his team to secure more points in the NPFL this season, emphasizing the remaining 108 points up for grabs.

Despite a slow start to the season, the coach remains optimistic about his team’s performance in upcoming matches.

“I told my players before the start of the season that we have 114 points to play for, and we have lost five points after a defeat and a draw to Remo Stars and Akwa United, respectively,” He told Abia Warriors media.

“We still have about 108 points to play for and we are going to play for all the points remaining.”

Abia Warriors’ next league game is against Sunshine Stars in Ijebu-Ode.

Kemfon Davidson Hungers For More

Akwa United midfielder Kemfon Davidson has fulfilled his dream of making his debut in the NPFL and is eager to contribute positively to the club’s success in the current campaign.

Davidson is hopeful for more opportunities to showcase his talent and score goals for the team.

“I was happy when the coach selected me among the players that will play on Sunday and it was a dream come true for me because it was the first time I was named in a matchday squad,” he told Akwa United media.

“The moment I will never forget was when the coach said to me, Kemfon, I know you can make a difference in this match, go in there and prove your worth. Although I didn’t score in the match, I’m very excited that the opportunity I was waiting for came. I did all I could, and I’m particularly happy that I was on the pitch when we got that equalizer.

“It was my first NPFL match, and I have this confidence that I will have more and more opportunities to play and to score goals for this club.”

Plateau United Coach Calls For Patience

Plateau United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, is confident in the potential of the newly recruited players, expressing the need for time to allow the team to gel and demonstrate their capabilities in the NPFL.

With four points secured in the opening fixtures, Mangut believes his players will showcase their best performance in the coming games.

“Every team in the league is also pushing for a continental ticket, but for now, it’s too early to say you will get it,” Mangut told Plateau United’s media.

“Our dream is to work towards it and last season, we lost out in the final two games of the season with Shooting Stars being one of the teams that stopped us.

“We are going to work and remain focussed to see if we can get there.”

Nenrot Silas Attracts Interest

Nenrot Silas, a free agent after departing from Plateau United, has attracted interest from NPFL giants Rangers and Enyimba.

Both clubs have reportedly submitted bids for the 22-year-old forward, who scored six goals for Plateau United in the previous season.
