US, Canada, Germany, Rishi Sunak Condemn Iran's Missile Attack At Israel

World leaders, including the United States, Canada, Germany leaders and Rishi Sunak, have condemned the missile attack by Iran to Israel.

Naija News reported that Iran launched nearly 200 missiles at Israel on Tuesday night. While no record of lives lost has been reported, Iran’s Military on its X handle said that “90% of our weapon systems successfully struck their intended targets.”

We launched 200 ballistic missiles of various types at three main airbases, including Nevatim, where the U.S. delivers bombs to the Zionist regime and which hosts F-35 fighter jets, and Hatzerim, which participated in the assassination of dear martyr Nasrallah.

“Other targets included the Mossad terror center, strategic radar systems, and tank, personnel carrier, and infantry units around Gaza involved in the genocide of the Palestinian people,” it added

The US Secretary of Defence, Lloyd Austin, on his X handle, on Wednesday disclosed that he spoke with “Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant today following today’s outrageous act of aggression by Iran against Israel.

The Minister and I expressed mutual appreciation for the coordinated defense of Israel against nearly 200 ballistic missiles launched by Iran and committed to remain in close contact. I also expressed my deepest condolences to the families impacted by the horrific and deadly terrorist shooting in Israel.”

The former Prime Minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak, stated that Iran’s attack was a stark reminder of the existential threat Israel faces.

Tonight’s attacks on Israel by Iran are a stark reminder of the existential threat it faces.

“We stand unequivocally by Israel’s right to defend itself including against Hezbollah in Lebanon,” Sunak wrote on his X handle.

The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, described Iran’s attack as reckless, stating that Tuesday’s attack put innocent civilians at risk.

“Canada unequivocally condemns Iran’s reckless attack against Israel. It puts innocent civilians at risk.

“We fully support Israel’s right to defend itself against this attack. And, we repeat our call for de-escalation across the region, for the safety of all civilians,
” Trudeau said.

On his part, the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz, warned that Iran risks conflagration.

Scholz, in a statement on his X handle, on Tuesday, said, “Iran’s missile attack on Israel is to be most strongly condemned. It threatens to further escalate an already tense situation in the Middle East. Iran risks a conflagration – this must absolutely be prevented. Hezbollah and Iran must immediately cease their attacks on Israel.

“It was only thanks to Israel’s air defence systems and its allies that yesterday’s attack by Iran could for the most part be intercepted.

“Together with our partners, we will continue to work towards agreement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. It must be followed by efforts to fully implement UNSCR 1701, which clearly states that Hezbollah must withdraw from the region bordering Israel.

“This would create the possibility of return for people in northern Israel and at the same time be an opportunity for consolidating the Lebanese state.

“With the 1st anniversary of Hamas’ terrible attack on Israel only a few days away, our thoughts are with the hostages and their loved ones. Their fate should be driving everyone towards reaching an agreement based on the proposals put forward by US President Biden.”
